DESCRIPTION:At times photography can capture a moment that is a turning point in a career. Photographer Barry Schneier captured such a moment in the career of Rock Icon\, Bruce Springsteen. Digital Silver Imaging welcomes Barry to speak about his experience as a photographer and music lover\, on that night in Harvard Square that changed rock and roll history. In his talk Barry will delve into the sequence of events that brought him to the night that music writer Jon Landau exclaimed “I saw rock and roll future and his name is Bruce Springsteen.” Barry will discuss that special night not just in the context of his career\, but also in the context of the musical era. He will also explore not just what was so unique about Springsteen as an artist\, but why an artist of his caliber had such an effect then on his audience as he does today. \n“My observations of him that night were equal parts photographer and music fan. I look to bring those two perspectives into my talk.”\nBarry Schneier \nCome meet Barry Schneier in person. Doors open for this event at 6:30.
