Print Mounting

Photo mounting can be an economical way to display your photographic images, or prepare them for framing. Digital Silver Imaging offers traditional photographic mounting materials, such as matboard, foam board, and Gatorfoam®. We also offer a wide selection of contemporary frameless mounting options such as aluminum, Dibond,®, and Face Mounted to Acrylic.

Print Mounting Options

Dibond® is a composite photo mounting material made of two thin sheets of archival quality aluminum with a poly resin core. A lightweight alternative to solid aluminum at 1/3 the weight. Dibond® comes with a white coating, which gives your photos a smooth clean look.

Face Mounting to Acrylic uses optically clear adhesives to mount photographs directly against the acrylic surface. An aluminum or Dibond® backing is used to give the photo print rigidity and provides a surface for a hanging bracket. Face Mounting to Acrylic makes for a very modern and stunning photographic display.

Gatorfoam® Board is is an extruded polystyrene foam board bonded between two layers of Luxcell® wood-fiber veneer. Tough, rigid, and lightweight it makes an ideal backing when displaying a photographic image as signage, on an easel, and it will not warp.

Hanging Options

For Aluminum and Dibond photo mounting we recommend our aluminum tube cleat. This XXX” tubing is fixed to the back of the image with a super strong adhesive. This hanging treatment comes with a corresponding cleat that can be fixed to a wall for a secure always-level mount. We can also supply a number of lower profile treatments.
