Black & White Silver Gelatin Print Toning
Print toning enhances the beauty and longevity of your print. Black & white digital images are often given a “color cast” digitally but that’s not what we do at Digital Silver Imaging. We take your silver gelatin print and actually place it in a tray of chemical toner. The effects of chemical toning make each print unique, midtones, highlights and shadow areas are all effected differently giving your image a depth and beauty that is virtually impossible with a digital processes.

Sepia Toner
Our true sepia toning improves print longevity and gives the image a tonal range from a warm black to a rich chocolate brown depending on dilution. To see prints being sepia toned watch this video.
Selenium Toner
Selenium toner enhances a prints tonal range. Selenium toner can produce tones from red-brown to purple-brown depending on the dilution. Selenium toned prints are highly stable.
